Educational Overview

With our younger children, we focus on developing healthy, integrated physical, social and emotional capacities. We cultivate imagination, foster a mood of reverence and respect and honor the rhythms of the day and seasons of the year. Our program gently stimulates the development of curiosity, verbal capacities, sequencing, sensory integration, memory, social skills and motor skills that are essential for later learning and are the foundations for academic excellence.

As the children move through the grades, there are developmental milestones which correspond with appropriate curriculum guidelines for teachers. The teachers tune into their class, select the specific age-related material and then have the freedom to present it in their own way to meet their students. This makes Waldorf-inspired education universal yet unique. When children relate what they have learned to their own experiences, they become interested and enlivened, and what they learn becomes their own. Waldorf-inspired education is designed to foster this style of learning.
